GameWorks is seeking an Event Banquet Captain who enjoys creating moments of joy for our guests.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, energetic, positive and organized person with open availability.

The Banquet Captain reports directly to the Director of Sales and supports the operations of the sales and events office. This role will be responsible for both sales and administrative duties such as, but not limited to working events, serving, answering phones, preparing proposals and contracts, updating banquet event orders for all departments, event preparation, trade shows, and cold/warm sales calls.

Essential Functions

  • Support the Sales Director to ensure inquiries and leads are responded to in an enthusiastic and timely manner.
  • Solicit new business through outside sales, networking, and cold calling.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, managers and employees.
  • Flawlessly execute work related to greeting and serving the guests at events, setting up and tearing down, and being the main contact for the guests' needs.  These events range in size of 10 guests to 600.
  • As Banquet Captain, you will be required to lead small groups of employees during events and managing stellar guest experiences.
  • Maintain a filing system and sales records, correspondence and other related items.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure events are accurately prepared and executed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous event sales/banquet serving experience required.
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Social media experience.
  • Open availability with a weekly set schedule. Weekends are required for this position.
  • Approximately 25-35 hours per week based on demands of the business.
